June 15, 2021

The 2020-21 academic year concluded on Monday, June 14.  Families still needing to return devices, hotspots, and/or books should return them to the main office.  The office is now operating on summer hours, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday - Thursday.



Final report cards will post to HAC by June 17 at 5:00 PM.

Systemwide policies, changes and updates:

  • The best place to look is on the HCPS Website www.hcps.org There is information that is constantly being updated regarding systemic dates, changes and policies as they occur.
  • Call us at 410-638-3658.  During the summer, the NHMS Office is open M-Th from 7:00 AM until 5:00 PM.  These hours will change as we get closer to the start of the 2021-22 academic year.  Updates will be posted here.

Questions about a specific class or subject:

  • The best way to find out specific information about a class or teacher is to email the teacher. We have a website with a directory that can help you find the teacher names and emails. You can access it HERE
  • You can always call the school at 410-638-3658. We will get you in touch with the best person to answer your questions.

Technology Question:

  • HCPS has a technology support line. Call-in for Technology Support on days when school is in session: 7:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. (410) 809-6336 · 12:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. (410) 809-6370
  • In many cases the teacher can answer your question directly. If you are able to email you can email the teacher. A directory of teacher emails can be found HERE
  • Most days when school is in seesion we have staff on site in our Media Center who can often answer questions or refer you to the correct person if they cannot. Call 410-638-3658.

Attendance questions:

  • If you forgot to log in to your attendance and receive an automated call, you may email Anne.Greene@hcps.org and let her know of the error.
  • If you know of an absence in advance, email Anne.Greene@hcps.org. It is also a good idea to email your teachers.

 Health and wellness:

  • Questions regarding health and wellness are best addressed by contacting our school nurse. You can reach her at Melissa.Wilson@hcps.org To reach the nurse by phone contact the school at 410-638-3658 when school is in session.
  • Our school counselors are available to assist you as well. For 2021-22, they are:

Calculator – there are calculators available for free online. Your child’s Math teacher will direct them to this resource; however, your child may want to have a calculator not connected to his/her laptop for convenience and ease of use.

 

  • Math 6 & Pre-Algebra – 4 Function Calculator
  • Math 7 and Integrated Math – 4 Function Calculator
  • Math 8 – Scientific Calculator
  • Algebra 1, & Geometry Students – Graphing Calculator

 

Spring 2021:

 

PE Uniforms will be available for sale in the spring, however they are not needed to start the 2020-2021 school year.

 

Swimming Gear: Bathing Suit, Towel, Swim Goggles will be needed in the spring, but are not needed to start the 2020-2021 school year.
