Welcome to North Harford Middle School

It’s a new school year here at Harford County Public Schools (HCPS) and what better way to welcome back our students and staff than to unveil our brand new webspace for the community. Our new webpage features the latest web platform to provide students, parents/guardians, and teachers with the best tools for success.

Our webpage isn’t the only thing new to HCPS this year! We welcome Dr. Sean Bulson as our new Superintendent. Follow his Entry Plan and be a part of the discussions where Dr. Bulson talks about the strengths and values of the school system while building a foundation for trusting and productive relationships.

Take a chance to explore our new webspace and come back regularly for news and updates!

Welcome to the 2018-2019 School Year!

Important Message from Dr. Wickman

Recently we experienced a well pump failure at NHMS. In the repair process new wells were hooked up at NHMS and service was returned to normal. The water at NHMS was tested and approved for use for flushing, washing hands and drinking. The water at NHMS is tested daily. As was shared with our community yesterday via phone call and email, on January 16 the water at NHMS tested at 9.7 which exceeds the 9.3 level for PH that Maryland Department of the Environment (MDE) allows for drinking water.

Facilities immediately began working to balance our treatment system to adjust the Ph to the proper level. For a brief period of time the water was only to be used for flushing and hand washing. Bottled drinking fountains were placed in each cluster area. We apologize for any inconvenience and thank facilities for working to correct the problem as quickly as possible. As of January 16 at 2:30 p.m. , the PH levels had returned to acceptable levels and we returned to normal use of water for drinking water.
