As a service to parents and others who contact our office seeking a tutor to assist their children, Harford County Public Schools has compiled lists' of individuals interested in tutoring. Tutors on these lists are present and former employees of the school system.
In response to your recent request, the names and telephone numbers of several individuals, who have expressed an interested in tutoring, are enclosed. Please be aware of these guidelines for providing names of tutors to those requesting this information.
Harford County Public Schools makes no recommendations or endorsements for tutors. It is the responsibility of parents to interview the tutor to determine if he/she will meet their needs.
Harford County Public Schools assumes no responsibility for private tutoring arrangements and does not establish or recommend fees for such tutoring. Arrangements for tutoring and payment are solely the responsibility of the parent and tutor.
It is the policy of the school system that teachers should not provide private, fee-based tutoring for children, who attend the school in which they currently teach.
The Harford County Public School System does not verify any information related to academic preparation or work experience provided by prospective tutors nor are we conducting criminal background checks or fingerprinting as we normally do with our employees. The tutors while acting in the capacity of tutor are in no way employed by or otherwise acting as the agent of the Board of Education of Harford County.
